Kentucky’s live racing schedule for 2022 will be very similar to the current one (meaning 2021 season), as it was confirmed by the Commission of the championship.
As it’s stated in bleacherreport.com, some events stand out another way:
Churchill Downs will be held through July 4 instead of closing in late June;
Kentucky Downs will consists
of a seven races (instead of six);
Keeneland Race Course will host the Breeders’ Cup events in November of 2021, including live racing at Churchill on the dates right before and after the championships.
Let’s overview the schedule of other races:
Turfway Park: events are set starting on January 1st and closing on April 3rd. Here is largely a Thursday-Sunday schedule, but Thursdays are designed to be optional.
Churchill Downs will take place on April 30th and will last till July 4th, usually on Wednesday-Sunday. Wednesdays are additional too.
Ellis Park is planned for July 5th till August 28th. The calendar says it will be something like a seven-day weekly template, but every date except for Friday-Sunday during the entire meet is marked not obligatory also.
Kentucky Downs: the dates are 1st, 3rd, 4th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 14th of September.
Churchill will be held starting on September 15th and closing on October 2th.
Keeneland: here October 7-29 on a Wednesday-Sunday schedule suits perfectly.
Churchill: the events will occur from October 30th till November 27th on a Wednesday-Sunday schedule.
